Dutchers Send Condolences

Members of the Douglas Dutchers Base Ball Club were saddened to hear of the passing of a former ballist’s wife. Heartfelt condolences go out to Chris “Hammer” Roerig, who recently lost his wonder wife Linda, a very active member in the community.

We also congratulate supporters Gordon and Patsy Wassenaar as they celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary and a milestone birthday for Gordon. Huzzah to many more!

Dutchers Grieve Loss of Barbara Downing

The Douglas Dutchers were saddened to hear of the loss of Scott ‘Scooter’ Downing’s wife Barbara after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott and Barb have been long standing members of the Douglas Dutchers community. Thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies to Scott and his family in this difficult time. Dutchers Open 2014 Season

The Douglas Dutchers will be opening their 2014 vintage base ball season on the opening day of the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, MI. The match will take place at 2pm on Saturday, May 3 at Riverview Park vs the Aurora Town Club Vintage Base Ball Team. Riverview Park is located on Columbia Ave between 4th and 5th St in Holland. Come on out for a fabulous 1860’s vintage base ball match.
